While the origins of the dish are unknown, there are several theories about how city chicken got its name. One theory is that the dish was created during the Great Depression as a way to stretch out chicken by adding other ingredients like breading or flour. Another theory is that city chicken was named after the small, bite-sized pieces of chicken that were common in New York City at the time.

Whatever the origins of the dish, city chicken is a delicious and easy way to get your chicken fix. The breading adds a crispy exterior to the chicken, while the chicken itself is juicy and flavorful. Plus, city chicken is a great way to use up any leftover chicken you might have. So next time you’re looking for a quick and easy meal, give city chicken a try.

City chicken is a dish that originated in South Africa and is now popular in Western cuisine. It is generally made of diced or ground chicken breast, flattened chicken breast or chicken livers, bacon, onions, herbs and seasoning and bread crumbs, all mixed and formed into a loaf, and then baked or fried. It is served hot, with a white gravy or barbecue sauce. It is normally served with mashed potato and peas. This dish is often served at fundraising events because of its low cost. City chicken can be found in many diners in South Africa and even in some restaurants. In South Africa, it is referred to as “Cape Malay Chicken” or “Cape Malay Liver” because it was created by the Cape Malay community in South Africa.

City chicken is a dish that originated in the United States, but it has become popular in many other countries as well. It is often served as a dinner entree or a sandwich. The dish is made from fried chicken tenders dipped in an egg and milk batter, then dredged in flour, cornmeal, and spices before being deep-fried.

The name of this dish comes from the fact that it was first served at city fairs and carnivals. People would buy the fried chicken and eat it with their hands while walking around the fairgrounds.
