Lisa Lopes had a girl group with three members in it. The name of the group was ‘TLC’ came from the first initials of the members’ names Tionne Watkins, Lisa Lopes, and Crystal Jones.

Unfortunately Jones could not make it with the group so she left. After Jones, Rozanda Thomas joined TLC as a new member. She required a name that starts with “C” for the sake of the group’s name. Lisa gave her the nickname ‘Chilli’. Watkins was known as ‘T-Boz’.

Once a ‘New Edition’ member ‘Michael Bivins’ complimented Lopes about her left eye. Bivins said that Lopes’ slanted left eye attracted him towards her. As Lopes didn’t have any nickname that’s why her fan-followers decided to call her ‘Left Eye’ which became her nickname.
